While representing operators in multiple Texas plays, including the Barnett Shale, Permian Basin, Eagle Ford Shale and East Texas oilfield, a significant portion of our practice has been devoted to oil and gas title examination. We pride ourselves on delivering practical, straightforward, cost effective Title Opinions to our clients. In addition to title examination, we assist clients in all other facets of their land and legal operations.

Our Attorneys

Kirsten Holmes

Kirsten Holmes was born and raised in Cleburne, Texas.  She is a 2005 graduate of Texas A&M University and a 2008 graduate of Texas A&M School of Law (formerly Texas Wesleyan University School of Law).  She handles family law, guardianships, trusts, real estate, probate, estate planning, civil litigation and oil and gas.  She has the necessary certifications for both probate and family law court appointments.  Kirsten is a member of the Johnson County Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas.  She is married to Kirk Hinkson and has a dog, Sherlock, who often joins her at the office.

Lindsey Shanklin

Lindsey Shanklin grew up in Cleburne, Texas, obtained her BBA in Marketing at Texas A&M University, MBA at Texas Christian University, and Juris Doctorate at Texas A&M School of Law (formerly Texas Wesleyan University School of Law).  Lindsey’s practice focuses on energy, real estate, and transactional business law.  She has represented clients in a wide array of energy law projects including due diligence, transaction negotiation, litigation, title research, title examination, and curative.  She has negotiated deals on behalf of landowners, mineral interest owners, oil and gas operators, solar energy providers, and other energy industry entities located in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex as well as across the state and in other parts of the country.

Lindsey has helped guide clients through simple residential sales as well as complex commercial property transactions.  Additionally, she is well-versed in copyright and trademark registration, contract law, property law, and is a worthy advocate for her clients engaged in civil litigation.  Her education and substantial business background aid Lindsey in providing her clients with the most effective, accurate legal advice.
